2 Cats on a Date

Tragically weird. Unnecessarily sexual. Two Cats on a Date is exactly what it sounds like. And then much worse. A high-energy solo show starring GRIFFIN KELLY in which one woman plays two cats whose romantic dinner kaleidoscopes into a world of inter-generational regret.

After premiering internationally to a 5-star Edinburgh Fringe run and sold-out tours in New York and Seattle, this feline fever dream returns to Los Angeles for an un-fur-gettable night at Dynasty Typewriter.

ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM:

Griffin Kelly (both cats) and Shozo Okada (director) met getting their film degrees, dated briefly (oops!) and began making sketch comedy together. They create and produce live shows around Los Angeles with their sketch team, Swamp Baby. Shozo has several Addy awards under his belt, and Griffin played Lynn Conway in the Discovery+ series, Book of Queer. Much like Academy Award Winning directors The Daniels, they combine their unique skills of technical precision and theatrical chaos to make experimental, genre-bending entertainment. Also like The Daniels, one of them is Asian. That’s the secret sauce.
